The theater show MJ is based on a book written by Lynn Nottage, who has won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama twice, as well as a combination of Michael Jackson's signature tracks. This show based on the "King of Pop" has been performed on Broadway to huge applause. The musical's score will include 25 of Michael Jackson's most famous songs, such as "Beat It," "Billie Jean," and "Thriller." The global tour that Michael Jackson completed in 1992 under the moniker "Dangerous" is used as the musical’s story line to offer an in-depth look at Jackson's artistic endeavors and all the major events that occurred during his career, beginning with his time in The Jackson 5 and continuing through his solo success. This production has been nominated for a astounding ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Leading Actor in a Musical for Myles Frost, who is making his Broadway debut as the pop singer in this show. Christopher Wheeldon was also considered for a Tony Award in both the director and choreography categories.
