Procter & Gamble Hall Information
Procter & Gamble Hall is one of three theatres that are a proud part of Downtown Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center. These three theatres are all part of the Aronoff Center’s mission to use their expertise as managers, presenters, and educators to become the premier promoter of the arts and entertainment in Ohio and all nearby states. They seek to offer a wide-range of high-quality performance and visual arts programs to help develop a diverse range of audiences.
The owners want to foster art appreciation and a greater understanding of the many forms that performance art can take. They also seek to encourage local and regional arts by offering an advanced performance space to feature the best locally-grown works and talent. Procter & Gamble Hall simply wants to supply everything that artists, performers, and creators need to enrich the lives of the Cincinnati community while nurturing tomorrow’s artistic leaders.
The center, and The Procter & Gamble Hall, in particular, have been host to several types of performances; from plays and ballet to concerts and comedy shows, to even Broadway’s best musicals. The venue has been designed by César Pelli to facilitate this goal and the name of the center was in honor of Cincinnati native and Ohio senator Stanley Aronoff.
The Aronoff Center’s theatres include the Procter & Gamble Hall, the Jarson-Kaplan Theater, and the Fifth Third Bank Theatre which provides ideal seating and arrangements for a variety of shows. The Procter & Gamble Hall is the largest theatre with a capacity of 2,719 making it ideal for larger performances including touring Broadway hits. The center also offers a flexible rehearsal hall, the famous Alice F. And Harris K. Weston Art Gallery, a Green Room for film screenings and dinners, and a Center Stage Room for receptions and dinners.
While the Center’s facilities are varied and vast, the true magic of the Aronoff Center for the Arts is how it supports the Cincinnati Downtown area. Guests, patrons, and visitors can enjoy the rich downtown Cincinnati core, with a few hundred local dining, shopping, and leisure locations within walking distance from the front door. The best features of that popular American city can be enjoyed before or after the show making it an ideal spot for a vacation trip or a weekend stay.
No matter what show brings a guest to the Procter & Gamble Hall, there’s a lot to do and a lot of love to be had from the venue, the Aronoff Center, and the surrounding city.
