The story follows the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, opening in the present day with Westenberg sitting in a therapist’s office. As Diamond, he details how he can no longer perform like he used to while the doctor helps him cope with that realization throughout A Beautiful Noise. The play goes back to Diamond's youth, examining his introduction to music and all the good and bad times since then, including his journey to stardom and fight with depression. But, what long-time Diamond lovers anticipate most is reliving Diamond’s catalog of hits in the Neil Diamond Musical.
This heart-wrenching two-hour-and-15-minute adventure comprises two acts, the first ending with the timeless classic Sweet Caroline, followed by a 15-minute intermission. After restocking on food and drink, rejoin the show for another hour of award-winning performances.

The Neil Diamond Musical is led by esteemed theater director Michael Mayer and features a widely acclaimed book by multi-awarded filmmaker Anthony McCarten.
Brimming with captivating songs, dance, and theatrics, this forthcoming musical recounts the never-before-shared stories of GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Neil Diamond.
The singer himself strictly collaborated with the writing room to retain its verity, strongly promoting mental health awareness with a narrative framed through Neil’s therapy sessions. Avid theater-goers are also in for an exciting surprise as the musical exhibits a selection of his most influential songs, such as “I'm a Believer,” “Holly Holy,” and “Song Sung Blue.”
Fronting A Beautiful Noise’s brilliant cast are Nick Fradiani and Mark Jacoby, who’ll be playing the parts of a past and current Neil Diamond. Together, the pair will lay out the nuances of the singer’s backstage and onstage personas, uncovering interesting new viewpoints from his Brooklyn days of youth to his record-breaking rise to global fame.
